Daniels Plumbing Pro FAQ
1. What should I do if my toilet overflows?
If your toilet overflows, turn off the water supply immediately by using the shut-off valve located behind the toilet. Then, use a plunger to try and clear the blockage. If that doesn't work, you may need to call a professional plumber.
2. How can I prevent my pipes from freezing?
To prevent pipes from freezing or breaking, insulate exposed pipes, keep the thermostat set to the same temperature both day and night, and allow faucets to drip slightly during extreme cold. You can also open cabinet doors to allow warm air to circulate around the pipes. Also, you can change all your pipes to Uponor pex pipe and get a 25 year warranty.
3. What causes low water pressure?
Low water pressure can be caused by various factors, including clogged pipes, a faulty pressure regulator, or issues with the municipal water supply.
4. How do I know if I have a water leak?
Signs of a water leak include unusually high water bills, the sound of running water when no fixtures are in use, wet spots or discoloration on walls and ceilings, and musty odors. If you suspect a leak, it's best to contact a plumber for an inspection.
5. What should I do if my garbage disposal stops working?
If your garbage disposal stops working, first check if it's plugged in properly. Then, press the reset button located on the bottom of the unit. If it still doesn't work, call a professional plumber to see what the issue is. Avoid using harsh chemicals or placing non-food items in the disposal.
6. What does it mean if I hear bubbling in my drains?
You have a possible stoppage or partial stoppage in your lines. You could need a vent for the drain to breath properly. You could also have your lines snaked to clear the obstruction.
